Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Phase handles information when you use the Phase website, launcher, accounts, downloads, payments, license keys, and related services.
1. Information we may collect
Depending on how you use Phase, we may process account information such as your email address and internal user ID; purchase and entitlement information such as product, price, status, purchase time, expiration, and license records; security information such as device or hardware identifiers stored in hashed form; authentication/session information; and technical information used for security, rate limiting, diagnostics, or abuse prevention.
2. Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. Phase receives transaction and checkout information needed to confirm payment, grant access, process refunds, and respond to disputes. Full card numbers and card security codes are handled by Stripe and are not stored in the Phase database.
3. How information is used
We use information to create and authenticate accounts, grant and validate software access, maintain purchase and key history, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, secure Phase systems, troubleshoot problems, comply with legal obligations, and improve the service.
4. Service providers
Phase uses third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate the service. These may include Stripe for payment processing, Supabase for authentication and database services, Cloudflare for website delivery and security, and GitHub for software distribution and source/deployment workflows. Those providers process information according to their own terms and privacy practices.
5. Device and license security
Some paid or restricted access may be associated with a device. Phase may store a one-way hash or other protected representation of a device identifier rather than the raw value. License keys that need to be displayed later may be stored in encrypted form.
6. Retention
We retain account, purchase, entitlement, and security records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Phase, maintain transaction history, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, meet accounting or legal obligations, and enforce access rights. Retention periods may vary by record type.
7. Sharing
We may share information with service providers that help operate Phase, when necessary to process a transaction or support request, when required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect Phase, users, or others from fraud, abuse, or security threats.
8. Your choices
You may contact us to ask about account information associated with your Phase account or to request correction or deletion where applicable. Some purchase, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, or legal records may need to be retained even after an account is closed.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect account, license, and purchase information. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a unique password and protect your account credentials.
10. Children
Phase is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Phase, contact us so we can review the situation.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The effective date above indicates the latest version.
